The alpha version of the Bootstrap 5 arrived in mid-June of 2020. Being the alpha-1 version, just like its predecessors, it is expected to add more features in the future. So far, it has witnessed the addition of some classes which includes:
- gx-* (classes now controls the horizontal/column gutter width)
- gy-* (classes now controls the vertical/row gutter width)
- g-* (classes now control the horizontal & vertical gutter width)
- rows-cols-auto
- While: form – row; form – inline; list – inline; card – deck
Classes have all been deleted. This constant minus and plusses will continue until a beta version is achieved.
Difference between Bootstrap 4 and Bootstrap 5:
